HOUSTON, TX, USA - Thursday, September 20, 1973 - Delta Dawn topped the Billboard Hot 100, American Graffiti was No.1 at the US box office, and Billie Jean King was changing the world.

The story of the Battle Of The Sexes is well-known. Bobby Riggs, a former top men's player, claimed the women's game was so inferior that he could still beat one of the current women's top players, but King beat Riggs in a best-of-five match-up, 64 63 63, and by doing so created the kind of worldwide buzz that has never been forgotten - 30,472 fans watched the match live at the Houston Astrodome, and an estimated audience of 90 million people worldwide (50 million in the US) watched on television.
