BAD GASTEIN, Austria - Just six weeks ago she was ranked outside the Top 100, and now she is in the Top 40 elite. Well, we lost in the doubles final today. We played our semifinal in the morning and won, but we didn't play our best and it was pretty close. But then the final just wasn't our game. They were leading the whole time and pushing and pushing and it was pretty disappointing. Even though it's not singles, it's disappointing to lose in any WTA final. I was very happy about this past week though - it is a really nice place and even though it is in its first year, the organization is great.

I'm pretty tired now and tonight we're travelling again, to Zürich, but I'll probably take a few days before I start practicing. No tournaments the next week or two so I should be able to rest up a bit. I've had some really nice comments about the blog from people I know, so hopefully you all enjoyed reading too.

I'll talk to you all again soon, I hope!!

It was another rainy day in Bad Gastein!

We got to play our doubles quarterfinal match at 11am, and we won in straight sets. We played well and I was pretty happy we were able to get that in. I'm a bit disappointed that our semifinal got rained out, but I can't really do anything about that! So we're playing that tomorrow at 10am... as I've said I don't like playing in the morning, but it's okay, we played early today and did well so tomorrow will be fine too. It's not so easy to wake up in the morning but once I get going it's fine!

Most of today we were just waiting around at the tournament. We finished our first one around 12 or 1230pm, then came back to the hotel and had lunch, and went back. We were playing cards to pass the time but I love playing cards so it was fun! We were playing gin rummy, one of my favorites. I like poker too but I don't play it that often. I was also in the city today and I looked for some games for the PSP but I couldn't find any - maybe I'll get one when I leave Bad Gastein. I can't find any of these games here!

Tomorrow is going to be an exciting day - first my doubles semifinal, then the singles final and then hopefully we'll be in the doubles final. I think Schiavone will win but Meusburger is obviously the crowd favorite! I hope nothing is rained out... I don't know what the forecast is but hopefully it doesn't have rain in it.

After the day is done tomorrow we're leaving for Zürich to do some training. I'll have to go back to Hungary after that because I have to sort out a visa to go to Canada but I'll be in Zürich for a while, two weeks. So tomorrow is a big day!

I'm off to sleep now, talk to you all tomorrow :)

So unfortunately I lost my singles quarterfinal against Schiavone today in three sets. I have strange feelings about the match. Last night and early this morning I wasn't even sure I'd be able to play because I had so much pain in my arms and neck. I told my coach I wanted to pull out. But in the morning I spent some more time with Nicky, the physio, and she helped me so much. I really love her, she's so nice and took the pain away enough so I could play my match. So I thank her!

The weather wasn't great today. I started well, winning the first three games of the match, but then it started raining and when we came back she started getting into it a bit more. I probably should've won the first set but I lost it. Rain started falling during set point but we played anyway and I lost it, but she was playing well. We had another rain delay before the second set but when we got on again I was playing well and won the set easily. In the third she broke my serve at 1-1, and I just couldn't break her back. It was not a bad match, but I had my chances. It was disappointing not to beat her again; after all, I had beaten her both times we had played before. But I've had a good two weeks and it's tough to play well for this many matches in a row!

My doubles was pushed until tomorrow because of the rain. If we win our match in the morning we'll have another one later on... so it's not much of a break! I'll be concentrating on doing well in the doubles now. It's funny, if you asked me a year ago if I liked doubles, I would have said yes and that I'll play everywhere and anytime. But now that I'm playing more singles it's definitely tough to play both a lot. Sometimes it's just too much. Lately I have been focusing on singles. But now that I'm out of singles here I'll definitely be all about the doubles. I know my partner, Uhlirova, well. We only started playing earlier this year and I was very happy with our first tournament, because we made the finals of the Tier II in Doha. Then we played in Budapest and won that title and did well at Roland Garros also, winning a few rounds and then losing to Raymond and Stosur in three sets - we were up a set and it was 4-all in the second, so we almost won... It's a good partnership and I hope we can continue to do well in Bad Gastein.

I just got back to the hotel from my father's hotel room. He is visiting me, and I went over to his place to spend some time with him and some of his friends. We had dinner in the lobby before that then I went there. I had soup and sausage at dinner - now I don't eat sausages much, maybe just once a year, but my coach ate them last night and said I should try them. It was okay! Anyway my dad's friends are really funny and I enjoy being around them. They make me laugh!

Well it's off to bed for now, but I'll talk to you all tomorrow...
