ACAPULCO, México - Hungary's Greta Arn is having the best season of her career, starting off with her second WTA title in Auckland (where she scored her first Top 20 win over Maria Sharapova) and reaching a career-high of No.58 in January (now No.59). The No.3 seed in Acapulco, here's her first WTA blog...

Well, unfortunately I lost today. Johanna played well, but I feel like I never got my rhythm this week. I played on about 20-30% of what I know. So really, to get to the quarterfinals of a WTA event like that, I'm happy! It was also the first time I made the quarterfinals here. I tried to fight to go further but it didn't work out. I take the positives. I'm not sad. I look at the big picture - I made a quarterfinal, I'm healthy, my family is healthy, I have love in my life... it's all good!
Of course, usually it isn't like this. I am normally very sensitive after matches. Nobody can talk to me! But to make the quarters of a WTA event not playing your best tennis - I can take that. If I did that every week I'd be happy.
After the match I did my usual things, a cooldown, a shower (15 or 20 minutes again, I like staying under the water!) and then called my coach. He had an idea of going into the city so I was like, 'Yeah why not?' So we did. We went to the other side of the bay to the Quebrada Cliffs. We watched a show and then had a nice dinner at the restaurant - and yes, I got my favorite... I got my steak in :)
So the plan now is to change my tickets and fly out of Acapulco tomorrow to Monterrey. That's on hardcourts so hopefully I can find my game. I like clay but maybe I was playing too long on hardcourts - this was a big change.
I've been in Monterrey once before. It's a nice tournament. There's no beach like there is here, but it's a nice place. Let's see how it goes over there. It's good preparation for big tournaments coming up in Indian Wells and Miami, and it has a strong field, which I like. I like playing against top players...
I might do one last blog before I leave - but still I want to say thank you for reading all week and it was fun! Usually I don't talk a lot when I'm tired, but this was fun. Hopefully you enjoyed reading. I might write you one more time :)
