Hi!
I lost my match today against Petrova, 63 63. It wasn't the best day for me! I didn't play my best at all and had some mistakes, and I also got a bit nervous at the end when it wasn't completely going my way. But sometimes it happens. Plus I'm not playing alone - on the other side of the court there is always a tough opponent, and Nadia is one of them, she has an unbelievable amount of experience in tennis and has had some really good results, and she played a good match today, playing aggressive from the start and quite consistent. She is a big server, which is valuable on grass. So well done to her!
I got a lovely present today from the Tournament Director of the Monterrey Open, which I've won twice in a row. So kind of him! I love presents :)
After the match I did a few interviews, went for lunch with my team, waiting for my doubles match with JJ and chatting! But the match with Hewitt and Soderling was too long, then Lisicki went on court around 5pm to play her singles, so around 6pm my doubles got cancelled! I went straight back home and we went out for some quick shopping in Wimbledon village!
We had Thai food for dinner. My manager made me cry, but not because of the match or anything - because of the spicy Thai food he ordered for me! Haha. I was stronger than my mum though, at least I managed to finish my dish!
Well that was pretty much my day, I hope it wasn't too boring for you to read!
Playing doubles tomorrow, third after 12pm. It's not gonna be easy... but we'll try our best. I hope David Koma will make it again, we need some extra support :)
