Hi everyone!

I just had my second round match against Yaroslava Shvedova today and unfortunately she had to retire after the first set with an injury. It wasn't one of the best matches of my life, not just because of how I was playing, but because it was windy and I was still trying to find my game. But in the end it's a win.

I hope Yaroslava recovers soon...

After leaving the courts yesterday I got a massage and just relaxed in my room, then went out for dinner and a little shopping with my friends. There's a very nice mall next to my hotel. The shopping there is of very good quality - I was actually surprised by how great it is! There was one interesting thing - for the first time in my life I went to a shop and was told I would get what I was buying at the airport when I was leaving. I wanted to buy a handbag and was about to pay, and the woman asked for my flight details. I made something up, like Friday at 1pm. My friend was curious and asked her why she was asking, and she said I'd pick the handbag up at the airport, for my convenience. I didn't get it. Buying something that isn't cheap and getting it five days later? I don't get it!

Today I just did my usual pre-match routines in the morning, then the Zakopalova match went so quickly I went on the court just after warming up. I still have some work to do in the gym, then some other fun things I have planned here at the tournament, then maybe later I'll Skype with my boyfriend!

I have a day off tomorrow again, but will of course write to you all :)

Thanks for reading and talk to you tomorrow,

Domi

How do you create so much power on your forehand even though you're not the biggest or tallest player? Heikyung, South Korea
If you have a good forehand, it's not necessarily because you are tall, but because you have good power. I have strength in my arm - God gave me good talent in my arm. Also my center of gravity is low, so I can hit the ball hard.

If you had to choose three cities to have WTA tournaments in, what would they be? Jason, Australia
Paris is my dream city. I like the atmosphere, the architecture... I know there's already two tournaments there but I still have to choose it! Then probably New York, since it's exciting and dynamic. And finally I have to go with Bratislava, my hometown. We still don't have a WTA tournament there, which is a pity.

Are you friends with the other Slovak players on the WTA, like Daniela and Magdalena? Anders, Norway
We all play Fed Cup together and get along well. It's not like we are all best friends who would just go for coffee at home, but we all get along very well!

How does it feel to be playing on the same courts as Miroslav Mecir when he won Olympic gold in tennis in 1988? Ondrej, Slovakia
It's very nice to come here and see where he won the gold medal. He is very well known and won a lot of great matches. As I said before I really like this old stadium - it has a lot of history. It's a special feeling playing here.
