LINZ, Austria - After a phenomenal week in Beijing, where she became just the second player in WTA history to defeat both the singles No.1 and doubles No.1 on the same day, Flavia Pennetta is bringing her game - and veteran blogging skills - to Linz. Read on with the Italian from the Generali Ladies Linz.

Flavia Pennetta, Gisela Dulko

Hi guys,

Unfortunately Gisela and I couldn't finish our doubles match today because Gisela just had too much pain in her back. We tried to go on court but there was no chance. She needs to recover to be ready for the Championships. I'm also not feeling great - as you know I had to withdraw from singles yesterday because of my leg, so I think for both of us it was difficult to play today.

Gisela is going to go back to Rome and get some treatment there. I will be going back to Barcelona and am hoping to be ready to play in Luxembourg next week. I have an early morning flight tomorrow and will be going to stay at the house of my coach, Gabriel. We have all day tomorrow to see doctors, get some tests, do physio and whatever else. We will see. I really love playing in Luxembourg, and I still have a chance to go to Bali if I win there. I qualified for Bali the last two years but had to miss it because of the Fed Cup finals...

Even though I wasn't able to continue in singles or doubles here in Linz, I had a great time. This is a really nice tournament. They don't have a lot of luck with the schedule, because it's at the end of the year and it's straight after the Asian tournaments, so it's not easy to come here to play, but they do a really good job. The party was really nice - they gave us these really nice dresses to wear. It was fun to show we're not just tennis players, we're women too! Thank you to everyone here in Linz who made this tournament so good :)

I'll for sure be talking to you guys again next year, I'll do another blog from somewhere... until then, thank you for reading... ciao!!

Flavia

Are you going to play in Acapulco next year? We miss you! Ricardo
It's my favorite tournament! I'm going to sit down with my coach soon to make my schedule for 2012. If I am able to go back to Acapulco, I will be there!

What do you and Gisela talk about on the court? Willy
We don't talk about tennis at all - well, that's a bit of a joke. We do talk about tennis, but mostly we talk about different things. When we're nervous we talk about stupid things. It takes our mind off the match, which helps us.

When and why did you move to Switzerland? Henry, Holland
I moved there around 2006 or 2007, because my ex-boyfriend was living there and we decided to live together. But then everything was really nice there so I decided to stay. It's near Italy so it's easy to go back home whenever I want. It's also near Geneva, which is a beautiful place, so elegant. A lot of Italians are living there too. I just find it really easy to live there!
