Hi everyone! It's Slava here today.
I woke up this morning to a very rude alarm. It felt soooo early and then I realized I forgot to turn it off from yesterday's early practice and it was only 7! So I turned it off and went back to sleep until housekeeping woke me up again around 9. We had practice at 12:45 today so Vania was in a much better mood! ;) We played with the Italian hitting partners again on center court and it was a very good practice. After that we had lunch and came back to the hotel to get ready for the draw ceremony. We had our make up done by Oriflame people and Vania wore her red dress! We were the only two wearing summer dresses at the draw. All the other girls wore pants and boots and winter clothes. Vania and I were the only ones feeling like it was summer in Turkey!
The doubles draw ceremony was on center court and it was very nice. It was the first time they've done it on center court and they did a nice show and good introductions of everyone, and it was all a very high level. There were lots of people watching too because the crowd was already there for the matches. We will play Peschke/Srebotnik in the semifinals on Saturday. We've played them a few times and had a good match against them in Beijing so we can't wait to play!
I was hoping my brother would be able to come to the tournament here but I heard from him today and he can't come because of work, which is sad but of course I understand! But today a friend came to the tournament, which was fun, so we had dinner at the tournament and watched some of the singles matches. Then I came back to the hotel and had tea with Emi and now I'm writing to you!
We have practice at 9am so Vania is already sleeping and I'm going to bed soon too! Tomorrow we will have a story to tell you about Harry Potter... but you will have to wait for that and more photos tomorrow too!
