Hello again everyone!
Tathy and I had two hours of practice with our coach earlier today. It was really fun. We did doubles drills to get ready for the semifinals. After that I stayed in the room for a little bit, and then, as I said I would, I went into the city today!
In the city I went to a cafe, sat down with a coffee and read my book. A very snob thing to do right? It was a good getaway though. As tennis players, there are a lot of things you can't do all year long, so if I have time to get away...
I was watching this series on TV called Koh Lanta, it's like Survivor. I met the guy who presents it at an ITF tournament in France. I wish I could go on that show! It's the 15th day today and there are 25 to go. It's on Friday evenings, so if I get the TV connection I'll watch it. Usually I don't like reality shows because I'm pretty skeptical - but sometimes you have nothing to do!
We play Polona Hercog and Petra Martic in the semifinals. I know Polona well, she's a good friend of mine. I know Petra a little bit too, not too much. They're a tough team. They have a lot of weapons and I think they will be a successful team in the future. I enjoy doubles a lot. Some people have told me it's not good for my singles, but I think it does help, and if I didn't play doubles I would never have become good friends with Tathy, and that's just one thing it has brought me. I hope tomorrow is enjoyable and that we play well!
Thank you for all the questions and your support!
What do you have to do to get your game to the next level? Peter
I need to be more consistent. My volleys and my serve have improved, and my movement is better (I've lost some weight this year)... I would like to keep my same spirit but there's always parts of your game you can improve!
What is your favorite movie of all time? James, USA
I loved Nottinghill with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. I watched it for the first time when I was 10 or 12, it's kind of cheesy, but I like it. I like the Millennium movie... 7 Pounds with Will Smith... I also like thrillers like Shutter Island, or funny movies like The Hangover. There's one movie I've never seen that it seems everyone has seen: Star Wars. I also really like Pride & Prejudice.
Your bio mentions a dog and a cat... how are they doing? Hannah
Actually I have two dogs and two cats now! The dogs are West Highland Terriers. They're both lovely. The first one we got when she was three months old. My dad promised me if I won a big Under 14 tournament in Tarbes a year before I turned 14, he'd get me a dog. I actually won it twice (Hingis is the only other one to do it!) Anyway the dog, Tsoumi, is so cute. Our second dog, Shakra, is the same breed as Tsoumi. She's five years old now and follows my mom EVERYWHERE! Kitchen, upstairs, everywhere. Tsoumi is more with me. The two cats are Crevette and Wisky. Crevette we picked up while we were on holiday in France (there was a hotel that had found a cat and didn't want to keep him so we took him in). He's diabetic but we've been able to keep him going with the right injections. The second cat we found in our village. I posted pictures of her with 'Lost Cat' on them but nobody answered so we kept her. At the beginning she kept meowing and following me, but now that I travel so much she just sleeps on my mom's bed all the time. Our house is basically the animal center of Lausanne!! When I was seven years old I had a guinea pig but it died (it was the biggest tragedy in my life!)
