BALI, Indonesia - Not only did she win two International-level titles this year in Birmingham and Dallas, she broke into the Top 20 for the first time. With little to defend until the clay court season it seems the sky is the limit for Sabine Lisicki, and the young German is one of the favorites for the Commonwealth Bank Tournament Of Champions in beautiful Bali this week. My bowl...

Monday, October 31, 2011

Hi everybody! Welcome to my WTA Blog from Bali :)

It's so nice to be back in Bali. I came here two years ago and it's a very beautiful place. I had a very nice reception last night with some beautiful flowers - as some of you know I love flowers, so I was very happy about that! I'm a little bit jetlagged right now after coming from Europe, but we deal with that quite often during the year, so it shouldn't be too bad this week.

Today I practiced and went to the gym. It felt good to be on the court again, especially after the long flight. I also went to the pottery factory today, which was heaps of fun for me, because my mom used to be an artist so I have always loved doing art. I got the chance to paint a bowl, which they're going to auction off for charity here at the tournament. We did that two years ago and it was very successful, so I thought I would do it again!

My parents are both here with me. My mom is painting too, she enjoys it a lot. My dad is taking all the pictures that will be on my Facebook page!

This has been an incredible year for me. At the beginning of the year I was sad because I knew this would be the last year this tournament is in Bali, and being ranked No.218 I thought I'd never get here. So winning two titles and playing the semifinals of Wimbledon made it an incredible year. I'm so happy to be back here. I want to enjoy my time here and enjoy myself on the court. I really hope to do well here.

I'll talk to you all again tomorrow. Goodnight from Bali :)
