Few have been making the kind of move up the rankings Urszula Radwanska has in 2012, starting the year outside the Top 100 and now No.30 in the world - and the younger sister of the World No.4 steps out of her shadow even more this week with her first WTA Player Blog.

Caroline was playing so well today. This surface really suits her game - she was running very well and not missing - so it was tough. It was my last match for the year and it could have been better, but she was just better...
I'll work hard in the off-season and come back better next year!
Because this was a night match I had all day, and I didn't want to spend all day in the room. So I went to the gym and did some running and some stretching, then came to the courts around 3 or 4 o'clock. I was warming up then just waiting for my match. I like playing night session, so it wasn't too bad to wait.
Yesterday I mentioned going to LA and then on vacation, and after that I'm going to go home to Krakow. I'm just going to practice there with Agnieszka. It's our base and we try to practice there whenever we can during the season.

It's hard to say right now because I just finished this year, and now I'm just thinking about the vacation and off-season :) But of course I just want to get better and better, have a better ranking... When I'm back I'll work hard!

I read books, but mostly I'm watching movies and TV shows. The best one I've watched recently is 24, but I like all kinds of series.

Good question... hmmm... well, my coach once told me I don't have to play my best game to win against the top players. Before, I thought I had to play 100% perfect to beat them - but he told me they can have bad days too.
How do you stay in shape - do you do any special exercise routines, and do you watch what you eat? Erik
Well firstly I'm practicing a lot, so I'm burning a lot of calories! But yes I'm eating healthy too - not eating any fast food, not drinking soft drinks... stuff like that! And even when I'm on vacation I still eat healthy because I'm just used to it - so I don't miss burgers or coke anymore, or pizza, so it's a routine now.
