ISTANBUL, Turkey - It has been a dream season for the Czech duo of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka, winning four WTA titles and reaching another four finals - including Wimbledon, the Olympics and the US Open. They are the No.2-ranked team in the world and they'll add another accolade to their season this week - their very first WTA Blog, straight from Istanbul!

Lucie: Hi everyone - well, we're disappointed after losing in the finals today, but I think it's awesome we made the final of the WTA Championships, and to finish the year as the No.2 team means we had a great year. Now we both need a bit of rest, and then we'll start preparing for the tournaments in Australia.

Andrea: I feel the same way. We're totally happy about this year. For both of us the biggest achievement was the silver medal and reaching the finals of two Grand Slams and the WTA Championships - of course the biggest dream would have been winning one or two of those finals, but not every day is yours.

I think today we were close to changing the way it was going in the second set, but we just didn't use some of our chances. We were a little bit unlucky. We fought anyway but it didn't go our way. But we just have to put it behind us.

We're really looking forward to Fed Cup next week!

Lucie: After Fed Cup, I'm planning on staying at home in the Czech Republic. I have a lot of stuff to do - I'm building a new house, so I have to stay there, and then we're doing the pre-season training and all that there too.

Andrea: I'm actually going to Austria for a ski holiday with my boyfriend, and then a few of my girlfriends and I will go away for a longer weekend too. I want to enjoy at least two weeks off. And I don't want to stay at home, because I'm such an energetic person, I can't rest or calm down! But then after all that I'll go back home to the Czech Republic and do our preparation with Lucie in Prague, and hopefully we'll keep having fun during the days of hard work.

Thanks everyone for reading this week and talk to you all soon! :)
