Hi guys!

I'm playing doubles this week as well, with Renata Voracova, and we just had a very tough match. I don't feel like I played well but I was lucky that doubles is about the team, so thanks to Renata we won in the super tie-break :-) But all the credit to our opponents, they played really well.

I'm looking forward to the next one!

I've known my doubles partner Renata since we were 12 years old, so I can definitely say we know each other very well. She is a very nice girl. We have a lot of fun whenever we're together, and I always enjoy my time with her on and off of the court, especially when she starts to speak with a Moravian accent - I start to get crazy, we have so much fun with it, I almost need a dictionary :-)))

Yesterday in my blog I mentioned my dogs and I've had a few people ask me about them, so let me introduce you to them! I have two Bolognese dogs, one black and one white, and one Yorkshire Terrier. The white Bolognese is Tobi, the black Bolognese is Alf, and the Yorkshire Terrier is Rex. I love dogs so much. I cannot imagine living without dogs. I've always had at least one my whole life so they are really a part of my life. As I'm travelling a lot, my parents take care of Rex and Tobi, and my husband has Alf at our house. Alf is the boss of our family - he sleeps in our bed and since he was a puppy he always sleeps on my pillow, so I've gotten used to sleeping without a pillow at all :-)

Another thing I mentioned yesterday was that I drove here - I've actually played many tournaments in Poland in my career because it's so close from the Czech Republic and I can go by car :-) I have so many nice memories from tournaments in Poland. I played two finals at the WTA tournament in Sopot and I won a small one here as well, so I'm always looking forward to playing in Poland. And as I also said, this country's many historic cities remind me of my country, and the language is similar.

Renata and I will go and do some stretching now and then go back to the hotel, have dinner together with her coach Libor and my mother, and then it's hockey time for us :-) We will watch the Czech hockey championship final on our computers - it's going to be a big fight between us :-)

I'm really looking forward to the rest of the tournament and the clay court season in general - clay is actually my favorite surface because I grew up on it. When we were small in Prague we always practiced on clay, even indoors too, so I'm used to playing on this surface since I was very small.

Talk to you again tomorrow!

Klara
