Hi everyone!

I'm very glad to write the blog this week from Marrakech! Actually it's the first time I'm doing it.. I hope I will be able to stay all week long here and tell you many things about the event and the place!

I arrived today from Besançon, where we played our Fed Cup tie against Kazakhstan. It was a World Group II play-off. It was such a great week, I had a lot of fun with the girls. Marion, Alizé, Caro and I, we all practiced really well throughout all the week and the atmosphere was great!

We won the tie, 4/1, Marion winning both of her singles and Alizé the one that put us ahead 3/1 for the victory. I played the doubles with Caro and we won against Voskoboeva/Karatantcheva, 62 75. Even though the tie was already decided, our doubles match was a great match to watch and the crowd was supporting us even more loudly, and it looked like they really enjoyed the game.

It's such an amazing feeling to play in Fed Cup! I love this competition. Since I was a child, it has always been a dream of mine represent and play for my country. I'm proud to be a part of it now!

Our team has big goals for the future. We want to come back to World Group I and hopefully one day win the Fed Cup again! France has won it twice so far. Today many teams are really tough but I think we have a great team and that kind of trophy is definitely something I'd love to achieve in my career!

Oh I almost forgot to tell you.. In our team Caro was a rookie, so as you can imagine it was a lot of fun! We have a tradition, she had to do a speech at the official dinner. She did great actually :) And of course through the week she had other "hazings".. For example we went to her room and caused a lot of disorder in there.. but I'm sure she will keep nice memories from her first time!

We were very happy to have won, it was very important for us to stay in World Group II. Afterwards we and our staff all went out together for a dinner. We had a great time. But there wasn't too much time to enjoy the victory.. because the next tournament was waiting!

Alizé and I left the dinner around 11pm last night. My parents came to support us in Besançon so we drove back to Paris at night, arrived at 2:30am, slept a few hours and had our flight at 1pm for Marrakech. It was nice to be with Alizé again, it felt like we were still there somehow.. we spent the whole time showing each other all of our pictures again and kept laughing about the great memories.

The flight was great - it felt very fast because I slept non-stop!

It's my first time in Marrakech, but I've already been to Morocco before for ITF juniors and ITF pro circuit tournaments! I hope I'll have some time to visit the city. I like the country here. I don't know if it's because we are French, but people are very nice with us and always taking great care of us.

We landed around 3pm local time and I had a little practice session with Alizé around 6pm. We were trying to get used to the court - we were playing on indoor hardcourts for a week for the Fed Cup, so coming here and playing on outdoor clay with the heat and a little bit of altitude isn't very easy. We tried to be focused and adjust as much as we could because we're already playing our first matches tomorrow! I'm playing against Cadantu in the second match after 11am.

Okay guys, that's how my journey looked the past few days, it's actually been pretty busy and tiring with all of those practices, matches, emotions and travelling! It's time to go to bed and get some good sleep and rest, so I can be as ready as possible for tomorrow's match.

Looking forward to talking to you again!

Have a good night,
