Hello again everyone!
It's my day off from matches today, but I've still been pretty busy - after breakfast this morning I came to the site and did a bit of warm up in the gym, then practiced with my coach for one hour and a half on the court, then a bit of physical training, then I'm going to go and eat something now, and then I thought I would take some time today to go around Madrid and see this beautiful city a little bit...
I thought today would be a good day to answer some of your questions... keep them coming!
Have a good night,
PS I'm attaching a photo from today of me, my coach's son Pau and someone else we all know!
Why did you decide to live in Valencia? Sue, USA
I was looking for a new place where I could practice, and I couldn't really find the right place in Italy, so I went to Barcelona for some months looking for one. I found a place in Valencia where I could practice with my coach throughout the year, and we've been there for many years now.
Is it difficult to stay the same person after you get big wins and become a Top 10 player? Sona
I don't think it's tough. You have to remember who you are no matter what happens, and even if you have good results, you have to stay a good person inside the court and off the court too.
Which Italian player had the most positive influence on your career? Sarah
I have to say Robi - Roberta Vinci! We've been good friends for a long time and she helps me a lot.
Who is the toughest player you have ever played against? Daniele, Italy
I think Serena is amazing. She's so strong, stronger than the other players. So probably her.
Why are you not playing doubles with Roberta this week? Cesar
Because Robi was a bit injured on her shoulder, so we thought we should just play singles this week. And we're both trying to prepare and recover well for Rome and of course Roland Garros.
I've read you like reading and video games. What's your favorite book and favorite game? NV
I'm not sure I have a favorite book, but I do like books by Fabio Volo very much, I like to read those. As for video games, I do play a lot with my coach, mainly the tennis game on the PlayStation.
