Ciao from Roma again!

Well it was a good match for me against Hsieh Su-Wei today. I thought I played very well. It wasn't so easy out there actually - it was quite windy and dusty, and the clay was flying everywhere - so to get through that match in straight sets against a tricky opponent like her, I'm very pleased with it.

It was a good crowd out there. Here they love to come out and watch tennis, so no matter whether it's center court or the court I played on, or even Court 6, it's always a decent crowd, and they got pretty into the match, too. It's fun playing for a crowd that's really enjoying what they see out there.

I ended up going out for Japanese last night - it wasn't to the recommendation I was told, but it was still a very good meal. It was nice to go to a totally different part of the city I had never been to - it was somewhere near a pyramid... I'm not sure what the area is called, but it's there! I like a lot of Japanese foods, it's hard to pick a favorite - I love sushi, I also like the soba noodles, and any grilled things...

I'll pretty much try any Japanese foods!

Last week it was announced the WTA Championships are going to Singapore starting next year. I think it's great. I'm really excited they're going there. It's not too far from home. I hope I can make it!

I played in Singapore for 14 and unders, which was a very long time ago. I also went there a few pre-seasons ago for an exhibition and I had a great time. It was a really cool city, and the street we were staying on had some unbelievable shopping - I've never seen so many people shopping all at once, it was crazy. So hopefully I can make it there one day and play the WTA Championships there!

I'm playing doubles with Francesca Schiavone this week. We've played a few tournaments together before, and while we've never done fantastic, it's always fun playing with her. She's very animated and enjoys playing, obviously. It'll also be fun playing with her in front of her home crowd. Hopefully we'll have lots of support. We have a tough match to start, but hopefully we can get through that one.

From there you never know...

Talk to you all again tomorrow - keep those questions coming!
