Ready to go : )

Here I am sitting in my hotel room, knowing my match schedule for the next two days, with a very good feeling of preparation work accomplished. I have had some really good practices this weekend, mostly focused on points and match play, which is important to do closer to your matches to get that competitive frame of mind. I also feel very relaxed because I just had a one hour massage at the site :) (one of the perks of what we do!!)

I always love to play in Canada, in front of friends, family and supporters. It is such a high to play in front of a big crowd and especially in this new stadium.

I am very excited for my first match tomorrow (Monday, second after 7pm), playing doubles with Sofia Arvidsson against the new US Open doubles champions! Aleks Wozniak officially opens the tournament with her first round singles match just before so the crowd should be loud :)

The weather in Québec City is cooling down a bit so I am sure some of the girls from warmer countries are starting to feel a bit chilly, especially my coach, Bruno, as he was basically born on a Mexican beach :)

However, Québec is a beautiful city and one of the most amazing places I have been in my life. Really worth the trip if you want to visit a city with stunning architecture and so much history. Attached is a small glimpse of this beautiful part of the world from my balcony.

I will finish today with one of my favorite quotes:

"Your mind is like a parachute, it only works when it's open"
