Simona Halep's personal coach, starting in January 2016, will be Darren Cahill. His role as men's tennis analyst for ESPN during the Grand Slams will not prevent him from coaching Halep full-time.

The No.2 player in the world sent out a tweet about the official 2016 arrangement on Thursday:

Cahill has some major coaching credentials, including coaching Lleyton Hewitt and Andre Agassi to No.1 in the world on the ATP World Tour, as well as working with a slew of other big names as part of the Adidas Player Development Program, which is where he began working with an on-the-rise Halep.

This year, he helped Halep get back to her career-high ranking of No.2 in the world.

"We speak about how to play, technically and tactically," Halep said at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global. "He's very positive, and that's why I believe more in myself now."
