TORONTO, Canada - By virtue of winning their fourth WTA doubles title of the season together in Toronto, following triumphs at the Australian Open, Stuttgart and French Open, the rock star doubles pairing of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova has become the second team to qualify for the doubles event at the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global in October.

Mattek-Sands and Safarova didn't drop a set en route to the Rogers Cup title, the No.3 seeds capping the week off with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over No.4 seeds Caroline Garcia and Katarina Srebotnik, who had taken out the tournament's No.1 seeds, Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza, in Saturday's semifinals.

Hingis and Mirza were the first team to qualify for the doubles event at the year-end finale.
