Victoria Azarenka is closing in on 400. Azarenka comes into Indian Wells with 398 career match wins to her name, and if her history here is anything to go by - she has won her last nine matches here, and her last 12 completed matches - things are looking good for her to join the coveted club next week.

Serena Williams has passed Monica Seles for fifth-most career weeks at No.1. Williams is spending her 178th and 179th career weeks at No.1 this fortnight, passing Seles' career total of 178. Seles was Williams' childhood idol - click here to read what they each said about each other.

Dominika Cibulkova just rose to a career-high of No.11. After winning in Acapulco, Cibulkova rose from No.13 to No.11, finally surpassing her previous career-high of No.12, which she first set in 2009.

Klara Zakopalova ended an historic drought in Florianopolis. By winning her first WTA title in 8 years and 5 months, Zakopalova now owns the fourth-biggest gap ever between WTA titles (the three biggest are Kimiko Date-Krumm's 13y/1m, Jelena Dokic's 8y/11m and Barbara Rittner's 8y/9m).

WTA Trivia: Eight players have won this tournament twice. No one has ever won it three times - but two of those eight two-time champions are in the draw this week, going for their third. Who are they?

WTA Trivia: In the previous 24 editions of this tournament, only three times has a player swept both the singles and doubles titles - one player did it twice, one player did it once. Who are they?
