Ana Bogdan reached new heights in the month of April, and as a result, she earned your votes as the WTA's Breakthrough of the Month.

The 25-year-old Romanian recently made her Top 100 debut, and she showed some of the form that took her there in the fourth month of the season.

Competing in her first two tournament since January's Taiwan Open, Bogdan made back-to-back semifinals on two different surfaces in Monterrey and Bogotá, seeing her campaigns stopped only by the eventual champion each time.

In Monterrey, she scored a win over March's Breakthrough Player of the Month Danielle Collins before losing to top sed Garbiñe Muguruza on hard courts, while also posting a trio of victories at the Claro Open Colsanitas on clay.

In the Colombian capital, she defeated former champion and home favorite Mariana Duque-Mariño, Anna Blinkova and Daniela Seguel before being ousted by the other eventual champion, Anna Karolina Schmiedlova.
