Johansson Launches Official Website

One of the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour's newest Top 100 players, Mathilde Johansson, recently launched her official website, giving her growing number of fans a place to go for a personal angle on how her career in the world of women's tennis is shaping up.
Johansson cracked the world's Top 100 last summer and after reaching her first two quarterfinals on the Tour recently - at the Copa Sony Ericsson Colsanitas in Bogotá and the Abierto Mexicano TELCEL presented by HSBC in Acapulco, both on her favorite surface, red clay - she reached her current and career-high ranking of No.64.
The 23-year-old Johansson, who has played tennis since she was seven years old, was born in Sweden but lives in and plays for France. She welcomes visitors with a song in the background from famous Armenian-French singer Charles Aznavour, then includes information on her career, her schedule for this year, results and some up-to-date videos (including her famous youtube training session, which has had nearly 10,000 hits in little over two months).
"I'm very excited to have my own official website now, where I can keep my fans informed of where I am and what I'm doing during the season," Johansson said. "People from around the world can blog me, join my new fan club and soon go to my own store on the site, in French and English."
Johansson turned professional in 2000 and until now has won all of her titles on the ITF Women's Circuit, seven in singles and one in doubles. She has been making some major waves on the Tour over the last year or two however, to the point where she is now on the verge of breaking into the world's Top 50.
