BOGOTÁ, Colombia - Before this week, Angelique Kerber and Mariana Duque Marino's careers were highlighted by one Sony Ericsson WTA Tour quarterfinal each - they have both blown that right out of the water and will meet for the XVIII Copa BBVA Colsanitas title on Sunday afternoon.

Both pulled off upsets in Saturday's semifinals, beginning with No.5 seed Kerber's 75 63 win over No.1 seed Gisela Dulko. Kerber was down a break in each set but closed fast every time, winning four of the last five games of the first set and five of the last six games of the second. It didn't hurt, either, that Dulko was suffering - she was treated for dizziness during the match.

"It's my first final on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour, so I'm very happy," Kerber said. "I'm hapy to win against Dulko because she's a great player. I had nothing to lose and just tried playing my best on every point. I fought until the end. It has been a great tournament for me here. It's my first time here and I like Bogotá a lot. The people have been supporting me really well."

Colombia's own Duque Marino came out with guns blazing, bursting out to a 5-1 lead, and although No.8 seed Arantxa Parra Santonja found her rhythm it just wasn't enough, as Duque Marino advanced to the title match, 64 75.

"I'm very happy. I don't know what else to say... I just can't wait until tomorrow!" Duque Marino said. "This is very good for me and for Colombia. I'm very proud to make my first final here. It was a really close match but one of us had to win and it was me. I'm a little tired right now but I will be fine for tomorrow."

Dulko and Edina Gallovits joined together to win the doubles title later Sunday, beating Olga Savchuk and Anastasiya Yakimova in a tight two-setter, 62 76(6). Dulko and Gallovits saved three set points in the second set tie-break.
