INDIAN WELLS, CA, USA - Comeback superstar Justine Henin will headline the group of women's wildcards into next week's BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California. The Premier Sony Ericsson WTA Tour tournament, taking place from March 8 to 21, will be Henin's return to the courts since reaching the finals at both the Brisbane International and Australian Open earlier this year.

Henin, who won the BNP Paribas Open in 2004, is making her first trip back to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden since 2006. The former world No.1 and seven-time Grand Slam champion recently returned to the Tour after retiring from the sport in May of 2008.

Three American players - Christina McHale, Alexa Glatch and Bethanie Mattek-Sands - have also been granted wildcards into the tournament. 17-year old McHale, a member of the US Fed Cup team, reached the second round of the US Open last year. Glatch has five ITF titles under her belt, and reached the third round at Indian Wells in 2009. Mattek-Sands is the winner of seven doubles titles in her career, including three last year, and is also a member of the US Fed Cup team.

Additionally, four international players have accepted wildcards in to the tournament: Australian Alicia Molik, Greece's Eleni Daniilidou, Austrian Tamira Paszek, and rising junior star Ajla Tomljanovic.
