MONTERREY, México - Czechs Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova have played together in three Sony Ericsson WTA Tour events so far this year and already have two titles to show for it.

The second-seeded Benesova and Zahlavova Strycova captured the Monterrey Open in dramatic fashion Sunday, edging top-seeded Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Vania King in a match tie-break, 36 64 108. Benesova and Zahlavova Strycova, runners-up here last year to Nathalie Dechy and Mara Santangelo, rallied from down a break twice in the second set and from down 5-2 in the match tie-break.

Benesova and Zahlavova Strycova's other title this year came in Paris [Indoors]; Cara Black and Liezel Huber are the only other duo to have multiple titles in 2010. Benesova and Zahlavova Strycova now have four titles together in their careers, as they also won Stockholm in 2008 and Luxembourg in 2009. Benesova has a Tour-best three doubles titles in 2010, with her second having come just a week ago in Acapulco alongside Polona Hercog.

"We are very happy because we lost the final last year and now we won it," said Benesova, who now has seven Tour doubles titles to her name, while Zahlavova Strycova has eight. "I enjoy playing with Barbora, she is an excellent partner."

Benesova and Zahlavova Strycova did not drop a set in Monterrey until the final, while Groenefeld and King were extended to match tie-breaks in three of their four matches.
