NEW YORK, NY, USA - Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova kept their perfect Grand Slam record intact at the US Open on Thursday, improving to 11-0 after a 63 46 64 semifinal win over Cara Black and Anastasia Rodionova.

King and Shvedova, the No.6 seeds, beat No.1 seeds Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta in the quarterfinals and against the No.9 seeds in the semis they were still in top form, losing the middle set but building a 5-2 lead in the third and, after missing their first two match points, closing it out two games later.

"I didn't feel too much pressure at the end. Although I lost my serve, the game was close and Slava still had her serve coming up," King said. "I knew I had to be really aggressive at the net. I tried to take all the balls I could to finish it."

King and Shvedova joined together during the two week grass court lead-up to Wimbledon and although they haven't won a title on the regular circuit, they are perfect in majors so far - 6-0 to win Wimbledon, 5-0 to reach the final here.

"It's really special," King said. "We really enjoy playing on big stadiums and in big matches, and hopefully we can make it 12. I'm also so happy to be playing in my home country. It's my first final at the US Open, so it will be incredible!"

The other semifinal, pitting No.2 seeds Liezel Huber and Nadia Petrova against No.7 seeds Chan Yung-Jan and Zheng Jie, will take place on Friday, with the final scheduled for Sunday, before the men's singles final.
