Parra Santonja was also a runner-up in singles, making her the second player this year to reach both finals at the same event, as Sara Errani lost the singles and won the doubles in Pattaya City. Three times last year the same player lost both finals at the same event - Vera Zvonareva at Wimbledon, Timea Bacsinszky at Bad Gastein and Bethanie Mattek-Sands at Québec City.
