STUTTGART, Germany - Samantha Stosur's almost-four-year doubles title drought ended Sunday when she and Sabine Lisicki defeated Kristina Barrois and Jasmin Woehr, 61 76(5), in the final of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

Stosur and Lisicki had never played together before this week, but did not even drop a set en route to the title, Lisicki's first in doubles. Interestingly enough, no seeded team reached the semis in Stuttgart, the third time that has happened this year after Acapulco and Kuala Lumpur.

"It was my first doubles final ever. It was an amazing first week playing with Sam and winning it in my home country," Lisicki said. "We had a very tough draw but we played very well and obviously we wanted the trophy!"

Stosur, who before this week hadn't been victorious since Eastbourne in June 2007, upped her career total to 23 doubles titles, sixth-most among active players behind Lisa Raymond, Rennae Stubbs, Cara Black, Liezel Huber and Katarina Srebotnik. Twenty of those titles came with Raymond (one of which occurred at Stuttgart in 2006), two with Bryanne Stewart and now one with Lisicki.

"She's always laughing and smiling, there's no chance to be down," Stosur said of Lisicki. "We might pair up again somewhere. It was a lot of fun here this week so hopefully it'll work out!"

Meanwhile, in Sunday's Fès final, No.1 seeds Andrea Hlavackova and Renata Voracova beat Nina Bratchikova and Sandra Klemenschits, 63 64, for their first title in just their second event together. It was Hlavackova's sixth doubles title and Voracova's seventh.
