Pre-Wimbledon Party A Smash Hit

LONDON, England - The worlds of tennis, fashion and celebrity collided at the WTA's Pre-Wimbledon Party on Thursday night. Not only were the best in women's tennis wearing the best of quintessential British fashion design, but a plethora of celebrities also graced the Kensington Rooftop Gardens.

The WTA partnered with the British Fashion Council to connect players with British designers, who provided them unique styles for the night. Among the players in the group were Caroline Wozniacki (who wore Stella McCartney); Serena Williams (Burberry); Maria Sharapova (Alexander McQueen); Li Na (Giles Deacon); Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (David Koma); Ana Ivanovic (Matthew Williamson); Jelena Jankovic (Vivienne Westwood); Andrea Petkovic (Richard Nicoll); Heather Watson (Mulberry); and Laura Robson (Temperley). Nicholas Kirkwood provided shoes for the occasion.

A long list of celebrities was also on the guest list at the event, including two-time Academy Award-winning actor Kevin Spacey; star of the Apprentice UK, Lord Alan Sugar; world-renowned DJ Mark Ronson; former member of the Pussycat Dolls, Kimberly Wyatt; and legendary English model Twiggy. They mingled with tennis stars and designers alike from kick-off time at 7:30pm.

Also, Range Rover signed on as the Official Partner of the event this year and on the night showcased its newest vehicle - the Range Rover Evoque.
