CARLSBAD, CA, USA - They had been one of the top doubles teams in the world since they began playing together regularly in early 2010, but now they seem to be on an unstoppable run. Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik extended their winning streak to 14 matches in a row on Sunday with a 60 62 win over Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears in the final in Carlsbad.

Peschke and Srebotnik went 10-0 on grass, winning Eastbourne before their first Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, a title that pushed them to the top of the rankings - they have been co-No.1 in the doubles rankings since July 4. After four weeks of rest they came to Carlsbad fresh to start their summer campaign, and what's a better way to start off than winning their first tournament back?

Seeded No.1, Peschke and Srebotnik lost just one set en route to the final - during their 36 64 107 win over Italians Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in the semifinals - then they needed just 58 minutes to beat Americans Kops-Jones and Spears for the title, their seventh WTA doubles title as a partnership.

"We're so happy we could follow our wins at Eastbourne and London with this title," Peschke said. "It's a great achievement. With each match we're getting more confident and we are very happy we won this title. It's a beautiful, beautiful area here. We enjoyed it a lot and we'd love to come back here next year."

The Czech-Slovenian duo is now off to Toronto for the Rogers Cup, where they will be top seeds again. "We're looking forward to a day off and then going to Toronto for another big tournament," Peschke continued. "We have three more tournaments to go before the US Open - we'll just go match by match and see how it goes. I hope we can keep doing this well all the time."

Kops-Jones and Spears had beaten No.2 seeds Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta en route to their third WTA final together. They are now 1-2 in those.
