Liezel Huber, Lisa Raymond

TORONTO, Canada - Doubles fans will get a treat on Saturday, as four former world No.1s with a combined 145 titles - 11 of them Grand Slams - will be on the same court when defending champions and No.2 seeds Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta square off with No.3 seeds Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond in the Rogers Cup semifinals.

Dulko and Pennetta ended their stretch of having lost in the quarterfinals of five straight events and reached their first final four since their run to the title at the Australian Open by handling Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Alicja Rosolska, 62 64, on Friday.

Huber and Raymond did not even have to take the court against Vera Dushevina and Lucie Hradecka because of a right forearm injury suffered by Dushevina. Nevertheless, the Americans are into another semifinal as their strong season continues. They paired up for the first time in April and after early exits in their first four events they hit their stride, highlighted by runner-up showings at Eastbourne and Stanford, semifinal showings at Roland Garros and Birmingham and at least a semifinal showing here.

Also Friday, fourth-seeded Victoria Azarenka and Maria Kirilenko upped their record together to 25-3 with a 63 63 defeat of Natalie Grandin and Vladimira Uhlirova. Their semifinal foes will be Nuria Llagostera Vives and Arantxa Parra Santonja. A round after their stunning upset victory over top-seeded Kveta Peschke and Katarina Srebotnik, the Spaniards rallied from a 64 31 deficit to edge Hsieh Su-Wei and Galina Voskoboeva, 46 64 106, their third straight match tie-break triumph this week.
