NEW YORK, NY, USA - The youngest player in the US Open draw and the lowest-ranked, 455th-ranked 16-year-old Madison Keys, beat the draw's second-oldest player, 37-year-old Jill Craybas, in the first round on Monday.

Keys is no stranger to accolades involving her age, as her first round victory at Ponte Vedra Beach in 2009 made her the youngest woman to win a WTA match since Martina Hingis in 1994. Here is how she compares with the other youngest US Open main draw match winners this century:

Result Year Age At Event's Start
Alexa Glatch d. Yuliana Fedak 2005 15 years, 11 months
Sesil Karatantcheva d. Meghann Shaughnessy 2005 16 years, 0 months
Dinara Safina d. Rita Grande 2002 16 years, 3 months
Nicole Vaidisova d. Kveta Peschke 2005 16 years, 4 months
Maria Sharapova d. Virginia Ruano Pascual 2003 16 years, 4 months
Vania King d. Klara Koukalova 2005 16 years, 6 months
Madison Keys d. Jill Craybas 2011 16 years, 6 months

Notes: Keys' win was the first main draw Grand Slam match of her career ... Vaidisova is the only one on the list so far to follow up her first round win with another, eventually making the round of 16 in 2005 ... Mary Joe Fernandez is the youngest US Open main draw match winner in the Open Era, having been 14 years old when she beat Sara Gomer in the first round of the 1985 US Open.
