Stats Corner: Carrying Over College Glory

NEW YORK, NY, USA - Most WTA stars have gone straight from the juniors to the pros, but there have been some who seasoned their games in college first. A recent example of that is Irina Falconi, who had a phenomenal two years at Georgia Tech - highlighted by winning the Campbell/ITA National College Player of the Year award - before turning pro in 2010.
Falconi has opened a lot of eyes with her performance so far at this year's US Open, where she is into the third round. Here is a list of all the college players of the year, along with their highlights at the next level:
