PARIS, France - Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond picked up their first title of 2012 on Sunday and fifth of their almost year-old partnership by beating Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Petra Martic, 76(3) 61, in the Open GDF SUEZ final.
Huber and Raymond's other four titles together came last year at Toronto, the US Open, Tokyo and the WTA Championships. It was not a completely smooth path to victory this week, though, for the top-seeded Americans, as they were extended to a match tie-break in their opener and then in the final had to fight back from a 5-3 first set deficit and a set point at 5-4.
It was Huber's 49th career doubles title (three of which have come at this event) and Raymond's 75th, putting her just one short of Jana Novotna for sixth-most of the Open Era. Here are the 15 players topping the list of most doubles titles:
| Player | Doubles Titles |
| Martina Navratilova | 177 |
| Rosie Casals | 112 |
| Pam Shriver | 106 |
| Billie Jean King | 101 |
| Natasha Zvereva | 80 |
| Jana Novotna | 76 |
| Lisa Raymond | 75 |
| Arantxa Sánchez-Vicario | 69 |
| Gigi Fernández | 68 |
| Helena Sukova | 68 |
| Larisa Neiland | 66 |
| Rennae Stubbs | 60 |
| Wendy Turnbull | 55 |
| Cara Black | 54 |
| Liezel Huber | 49 |
Notes: Before Sunday's victory, Huber had been tied with Margaret Court for 15th place with 48 titles ... Huber and Raymond have won 23 of their last 26 matches dating back to the start of last year's US Open.
