INDIAN WELLS, CA, USA - In securing a spot in the BNP Paribas Open semifinals on Tuesday, top-seeded Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond won their 14th straight match, but for the second straight round dropped a set.

Huber and Raymond were never especially close to defeat, though, as after splitting the first two sets against Jarmila Gajdosova and Bethanie Mattek-Sands, they jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the match tie-break en route to a 64 26 105 triumph.

"Today was all about survival," Raymond tweeted. "We got past a very tough team and are still Coachella virus free!"

Huber is into her first Indian Wells doubles semifinal in her 10th appearance, while Raymond is two victories away from breaking a tie with Lindsay Davenport for a record seventh title here.

Huber and Raymond, who are 34-3 since the start of last year's US Open, will next play Iveta Benesova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in their quest to capture four consecutive Premier-level events.

The Czechs were also pushed in their quarterfinal match, eventually pulling out a 36 62 107 victory over Casey Dellacqua and Samantha Stosur. This is their sixth time playing this event together and the second time they have reached the final four, having also gotten that far in their initial outing in 2006.

The other two doubles quarterfinals will be played Wednesday, with No.2 seeds and defending champions Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina taking on Gisela Dulko and Paola Suárez and No.3 seeds Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka squaring off with No.5 seeds Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci in a clash featuring the only teams left yet to drop a set.
