CHARLESTON, SC, USA - Having won her second round match at the Family Circle Cup earlier in the day, Aleksandra Wozniak made a special trip Wednesday, all a part of Military Appreciation Night at the Premier-level event - she visited Joint Base Charleston and boarded a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III.

Wozniak not only met and hung out with military personnel on the large military transport aircraft, she also hit some tennis balls, toured the cockpit and, later, met the commander, who had a very special gift for her father, Antoni.

"WOW, that was amazing!" Wozniak said of the visit. "The aircraft was huge, it can carry up to 172,000 pounds of cargo! It sometimes has to land on anything, anywhere, and if there's a runway it's only up to 3000 feet, which is very short. Also, it only has three pilots with the cargo. It was amazing to learn about it all. Afterwards we met the commander and my dad got a really nice coin from him.

"It was very nice to meet great people and I want to thank them for doing what they do to protect our freedom. God bless and may He keep them safe."
