Bits & Pieces From The Party

LONDON, England - The stars came out in full force at the Pre-Wimbledon Party presented by Dubai Duty Free, held Thursday night at the Kensington Rooftop Gardens and marking the start of the 126th edition of Wimbledon.

The most dazzling part of the night may have been the fashion. For the second year, in partnership with the British Fashion Council, leading British designers dressed the WTA's stars, including Maria Sharapova (Antonio Berardi), Serena Williams (Burberry), Petra Kvitova (Alexander McQueen), Agnieszka Radwanska (Mulberry), Caroline Wozniacki (Stella McCartney), Ana Ivanovic (Matthew Williamson), Li Na (Giles Deacon) and last but not least, five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams (Amanda Wakeley).

Many of the WTA stars - including the Williams sisters, Victoria Azarenka, Li and Ivanovic - did broadcast interviews and press; Radwanska hung around the Oriflame booth with fellow Polish players Klaudia Jans-Ignacik and Alicja Rosolska; Galina Voskoboeva and Vera Dushevina turned heads with very unique outfits, Voskoboeva in a sequined beret and hot pants and Dushevina in an old style, 1920s look; and as always, various celebrities were mingling too.

Dubai Duty Free joined the event as presenting partner this year, bringing the best of the Middle East to West London's Kensington Rooftop Gardens.
