Austrians have reached Grand Slam quarterfinals nine times in the Open Era, with Tamira Paszek aiming to become the first semifinalist.

LONDON, England - Tamira Paszek will be attempting to make history when she plays Victoria Azarenka in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Paszek, who was also a quarterfinalist at the All-England Club last year, will be looking to become the first Austrian to make a Grand Slam semifinal in the Open Era. Here is a list of those who have reached the final eight:

Notes: Having captured Eastbourne the week before Wimbledon, Paszek is on a nine-match winning streak … Paszek also played Azarenka in last year's Wimbledon quarterfinals, falling in straight sets.
