ISTANBUL, Turkey - The WTA has made a donation in the amount of $25,000 to the USANA True Health Foundation, a not-for-profit charity whose mission is to provide the most critical human necessities to those suffering or in need.

In March 2012, USANA Health Sciences - a global nutritional supplements company and one of the WTA's loyal partners for seven years - created the USANA True Health Foundation to rapidly and effectively help deserving populations worldwide in times of need, and to help improve both their health and living conditions. This includes, but is not limited to providing, nutrition, clothing, shelter, medical assistance and health education. The foundation was created by Dr. Myron Wentz, USANA's founder, and USANA CEO Dave Wentz, to help expand and enhance the company's ongoing charitably efforts.

"The WTA applauds USANA's humanitarian efforts through the establishment of the USANA True Health Foundation. We are honored to play a role in helping USANA fight suffering worldwide and support this worthwhile cause," WTA Chairman & CEO Stacey Allaster said from the WTA finale in Istanbul.

"We are thrilled and grateful that the WTA has chosen to support the USANA True Health Foundation and help the USANA family change the lives of those in need," Wentz declared. "Our goal is to one day create a world free of suffering and disease, and by partnering with an organization that values philanthropy the way the WTA does, we can help change the world for the better."

"USANA has always produced products that keep me healthy and performing at an optimum level," said WTA star and USANA Ambassador Samantha Stosur. "The USANA True Health Foundation is another example of how the company is making a difference in people's lives. The fact that 100 percent of every dollar donated to the organization directly benefits those in need is a testament to what a great company USANA is and one that I'm proud to be associated with."

USANA is one of the WTA's leading partners and serves as its Official Health Supplement Supplier. Since 2006, the company has provided high-quality nutritional supplements and meal replacement products to over 160 WTA players, including USANA Ambassadors Kim Clijsters, Samantha Stosur, Zheng Jie, Aleksandra Wozniak, Melanie Oudin and Liezel Huber.
