Every week there's a lot happening on the WTA - on the court, off the court, by the numbers, even a few tweets... catch up on it all in this week's WTA Diary.

Back With A Bang
Vika, Serena, Maria… in fact, the whole of the Top 10 are in action this coming week as the 2013 season gets up and running in, erm, 2012. The aforementioned trio headlines a stacked Brisbane draw, while World No.4 Agnieszka Radwanska is in action across the Tasman Sea in Auckland and Asia's leading player Li Na tops the bill at the tennis calendar's newest event, Shenzhen.

Future Career
Also appearing in Brisbane will be Petra Kvitova. The Czech star is a popular figure in this part of the world, having lifted the title back in 2011, and she has already endeared herself to the Queenslanders this year. In addition to visiting a local koala sanctuary, this week will also see Kvitova moonlighting as a journalist.

Talking of Twitter, the rumor on the grapevine is that 2013 will see Maria Sharapova finally join the bandwagon. But what should her Twitter name be? Answers on a postcard, please.

Life Through A Lens
Did you know the WTA has its very own Annie Liebovitz? Since turning pro four years ago, Megan Moulton-Levy has been making up for her faulty memory (her words, not ours!) by documenting her life on tour through a lens. They're not bad either.

Waiting Game
Former World No.10 Flavia Pennetta, who underwent surgery on her right wrist in August, has put back her return to the tour until after the Australian Open.

"I do not want to risk hurting it early in the year," she said. "I thought I would be ready for Melbourne, but I plan to return in Bogotá in early February."

There's Plenty Of Room At The Top
That's the view of high-flying young American Sloane Stephens, who after a quietly impressive 2012, is eyeing a move into the big time in the new year. This was just one of the subjects touched upon by the refreshingly candid 19-year-old in a recent interview with ESPN W that covered everything from her friendship with Serena to hanging out with Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose.
