MELBOURNE, Australia - Laura Robson is showing that her run to the fourth round of last year's US Open and being named the 2012 WTA Newcomer Of The Year are just the beginning of big things to come for her.

Robson, who turns 19 next week, is into the third round of the Australian Open after a dramatic triumph over World No.8 Petra Kvitova on Thursday. She will next square off with fellow rising teen Sloane Stephens for the chance to advance to another Grand Slam fourth round.

However, great success in Melbourne the year after winning Newcomer Of The Year has been fairly rare, with only three of the honorees getting as far as the quarterfinals since the Australian Open took its current spot on the calendar in 1987. Here is how each of them have done:
