Quotable Quotes: Li's Pre-Final Thoughts
Li Na

MELBOURNE, Australia - On the day between the semifinals and final, Li Na did the traditional pre-final press conference at the Australian Open - here are some pieces of that presser...

On what she has been doing since her semifinal win over Sharapova...
"After my press conference I had a massage and then to Chinatown for dinner. After that I went back to the room and talked to friends on the internet and went to sleep. This morning a little bit of gym."

On trying to snap a four-match losing streak against Azarenka...
"At least this year we didn't meet yet - it's a new start. So I'm looking forward to the final."

On the differences between Sharapova and Azarenka...
"I think Maria is more powerful than Azarenka. Maria is taller and catches the side balls very well. She never gives up, either - she is so strong in the mind. Azarenka has a little bit less power, but she likes to put the ball corner to corner. So she makes her opponent run the whole court more. Yeah."

On the first time she saw an image of herself on a billboard or on TV...
"I said, 'Okay, I know this girl!' But the first time I was a little bit afraid to look. That's when it felt real. The first big time was after the French Open - I was in Germany and I saw myself at the airport, I don't know if it was BBC or CNN. The funny thing is, I had an economy ticket, but the people came to me and told me they saw I won the tournament, so I could move to business. It wasn't too bad!"

On the WTA tournament in her hometown of Wuhan that will debut in 2014...
"Of course I was happy to learn I'll have a tournament in my hometown. Travelling all over the world, I never have a chance to play in my hometown - I'm really looking forward to it and very excited."

On how she has changed since her last two Grand Slams finals in 2011...
"Last time I was more excited, more nervous, because it was my first time reaching Grand Slam finals. This time I think I'm more calm, a little bit more cool. And this time will also be different because Carlos coached Justine, so he has a lot of experience for the final. I should be okay this time.

"But you never know what will happen in the final - you just have to come to the court and try."
