DOHA, Qatar - Everyone likes music, and so do the stars of the WTA. At the Qatar Total Open a few weeks ago the Top 3 were all asked in post-match press conferences whether they like One Direction, and they all pointed to other artists - but who did they point to? Here they are, in their own words...

Maria Sharapova
On whether she saw the results of the Grammys...
"Not really, no. I saw some pictures, and a couple of performances on YouTube."

On what she would have picked for Song Of The Year...
"Oh, I love Adele. I think her voice is incredible. She's so talented that I secretly want to be able to sing like her, especially when I karaoke with my friends."

On her best songs for karaoke...
"I'm really good at singing Cher. I haven't mastered Adele yet. But it's fun. I enjoy it a lot."

On whether she likes One Direction...
"I wouldn't say they're my favorite, but I don't turn it off when it's on the radio. I'm currently listening to a lot of Florence And The Machine and Adele. I'm always listening to U2, as well. Their music is really inspiring. It pumps me up. Bon Iver, too, a little bit. Kind of on the slow side these days."

Serena Williams
On whether she saw any of the Grammys...
"No. I didn't see any of it. I never turn on my TV."

On whether she likes On Direction...
"Yeah - you know what? I'm too old for One Direction. As far as I go is Justin Bieber. That's kind of where I've stopped. I love Justin Bieber. I don't really know One Direction. Yeah, sad."

On why she's too old for One Direction but not for Justin Bieber...
"Not too old for Justin Bieber. Nobody's too old for Justin."

After being told they're about the same age...
"Oh, really? Whew. That's a relief. That's a relief."

Victoria Azarenka
On One Direction...
"You know, music changed a lot for me over the last couple of months, so I'm really paying attention to some lyrics - and it feels like they're all crying about something, or they're all partying together. I think they have amazing voices, but their lyrics are not my first choice, I would say."

On whether she has a favorite member...
"I don't follow them so closely. I actually prefer the other band, the other British band, the young ones, The Wanted. I prefer them."
