Well, it was a very tough match against Serena today. I think I had my chances in the first set, some breaks - I was up 4-3 and had a ball for 5-3 on my serve, but I couldn't make it. Then in the second set she really started to serve better and made it even more difficult for me. But for sure I'm happy for the tournament and I played a good match today, I think. I got a bit closer, for sure. I didn't beat her but it's important to keep giving myself chances to play all of the top players. I'm getting closer, day by day.

It's very special for me to make the semifinals at such a big tournament like this, such an important tournament for all the players. I'm very happy to start the clay court season like this.

It was quite an early match today - I woke up at 7 :) After breakfast I had a warm-up at 9, and then just got ready for the match. It was a bit of an early day, but it's okay!

Now we will just eat and try to take the flight to Rome this afternoon. They told us the flight is quite full but we'll try anyway. And I'm very excited for Rome - it's a very special tournament for all Italian players - of course there's more pressure on us to do well, too, and you want to make it even better because of that, but all you can do is try your best. We'll see what happens next week! I'll see you all there :)

Thanks to all of you for reading my blog. I enjoyed it very much and I will do it again soon.

Have a nice day :)

Sara

What makes you and Roberta Vinci such a great doubles team?
Because we are best friends outside the court. It's a very important thing on the court, because you know each other very well, and that's very important when you're playing together as a team.

Which tournament are you looking forward to playing the most this year?
Rome, for sure! All the tournaments are very important, but for me it's probably this one.
