WTA Diary: Sister Act, Stats & Comebacks
Laura Robson

Every week there's a lot happening on the WTA - on the court, off the court, by the numbers, even a few tweets... catch up on it all in this week's WTA Diary.

Sister Act Two
To be drawn against Venus Williams in the first round is unfortunate. To have sister Serena lying in wait in round two is downright cruel.

Unfortunately, for Laura Robson, this is the hand she was dealt by the draw at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. She negotiated the first hurdle in some style on Monday to set up a match with little sister at the Foro Italico on Tuesday evening.

Making It
On the subject of the young Brit, you know you've made it when you're given a… erm… personalized razor.

Strictly Business
Li Na was one of the stars of last year's Rome tournament, where she finished runner-up to Maria Sharapova in a dramatic - and drizzly - final. After her early exit in Madrid, Li touched down in the eternal city on Tuesday, and it has been strictly business ever since.

"Nobody believes me, but I've just been at the hotel, training and doing everything there - having dinner at the hotel, too," Li said. "I haven't done any shopping or anything else yet. But nobody believes me!"

Stat Attack
It was a week of milestones in Madrid. Serena picked up her 50th title (and seventh on clay), while her victim in the final, Maria Sharapova, notched up her 500th career win in her semifinal with Ana Ivanovic.

¿Habla usted español?
As the Twitter savvy among you are no doubt aware, every Friday is #SerenaFriday. Among the revelations from this week's edition were Serena's post-tennis career of choice (wedding singer), favorite ice cream flavor (vanilla) and her spoken Spanish skills (bad).

Comeback Trail
Former World No.4 Jelena Dokic, who has been sidelined with a wrist injury since April 2012, is planning to rejoin the tour next month.

"I am starting with smaller events to get some more matches. Then I will see where I am at. At this stage, it is all about being healthy and taking one step at a time," Dokic said.
