PARIS, France - Losing a set 6-0 is certainly not something most players want on their résumé. But in the case of Maria Sharapova, turning that negative into a positive could result in her ending up on a historic list.

Sharapova failed to muster a game in the first set against Jelena Jankovic in quarterfinal play at the French Open on Wednesday, but went on to win the match. If she can get two more wins under her belt, she would just be the seventh player in the Open Era to lose a set at a Grand Slam 6-0 yet still go on to capture the title and the first to do so having lost the first set. Here is the list of those who have achieved the feat:

Champion Event 6-0 Set Lost
Barker '76 French Open F: d. Tomanova 62 06 62
Mandlikova '87 Australian Open SF: d. Kohde-Kilsch 61 06 63
Seles '91 Australian Open SF: d. M.J.Fernandez 63 06 97
Graf '95 US Open F: d. Seles 76(6) 06 63
Sánchez-Vicario '98 French Open F: d. Seles 76(5) 06 62
Clijsters '09 US Open 4r: d. V.Williams 60 06 64
