WTA Diary: Sixth Time Lucky For Roberta
Roberta Vinci

Every week there's a lot happening on the WTA - on the court, off the court, by the numbers, even a few tweets... catch up on it all in this week's WTA Diary.

Nobody Beats Roberta Vinci Six Times In Row
While her winless streak against Sara Errani was never in danger of reaching Vitas Gerulaitis proportions, Roberta Vinci was clearly in no mood on Sunday to lose a sixth straight match to her best friend and doubles partner. So she didn't, prevailing in a topsy-turvy Palermo final to win her second tournament of the season.

On A Roll
For Simona Halep, WTA titles are like London buses: you have to wait ages for the first and then three turn up in quick succession. In Budapest, the high-flying Romanian won her third tournament in five weeks, defeating surprise package Yvonne Meusburger in the final.

The Swiss Miss
Off the court, last week's biggest news was surely the well-deserved addition of Martina Hingis to the Tennis Hall Of Fame.

Closely Followed By…
The surprise coaching union of two of tennis' fiercest competitors, Maria Sharapova and Jimmy Connors.

We Are The Meat…
Is the rather unusual chant that can be heard reverberating around Spartak Moscow's cavernous Luzhniki Stadium on match days, and this year two of tennis' most famous siblings will be joining in. Spartak fans Dinara Safina and her brother Marat will be sporting these rather fetching caps among the other celeb fans after being awarded 'VIP Diamond' season tickets.

Strike A Pose
Fresh from her quarterfinal run at Wimbledon, Sloane Stephens is now cutting a swathe through the fashion world, after appearing on the cover of W.
