BAKU, Azerbaijan - Shahar Peer reached her first WTA final in nearly two years with a one-sided win over Magda Linette in the Baku Cup on Saturday.

Prior to touching down in Baku, former World No.11 Peer had won just six main draw matches in 2013, but she looked back to her very best against Polish qualifier Linette, who she brushed aside, 61 61, in little over an hour.

Peer's last final came two summers ago in Washington and ended in a straight set defeat to Nadia Petrova. On Sunday she will face a foe at the other end of the experience spectrum in Elina Svitolina.

Still just 18, Svitolina will be appearing in her maiden final, after booking her place with an impressive 61 64 win over No.4 seed Alexandra Cadantu.

Last week in Bad Gastein, Svitolina lost a heartbreaking semifinal to Andrea Hlavackova, and it was clear from the outset that she was not to be denied this time. The only slight wobble came when she dropped serve to fall 3-2 down in the second. However, the Ukrainian responded superbly, breaking back to love, before repeating the trick a few games later to close out the match.

The line-up for the doubles final was also finalized, with No.2 seeds Irina Buryachok and Oksana Kalashnikova booking their place with a 61 64 victory over Karolina and Krisyna Pliskova. Meeting them in the final will be Eleni Daniilidou and Aleksandra Krunic, who 24 hours earlier saw off Sandra Klemenschits and Andreja Klepac, 64 63.
