Maria Sharapova topped Forbes' list of the highest-paid female athletes for the ninth straight year, a list that featured seven tennis players in its Top 10.

Her endorsements include Nike, Head, Samsung Electronics, Tag Heuer, Evian and Porsche, and she also launched a candy business, Sugarpova, in 2012. Her earnings were up from the $27.1 million she made during the previous 12-month cycle.

Serena Williams ranked second on the list with $20.5 million, which consisted of $8.5 million in prize money and $12 million in endorsements with companies like Nike, Wilson, Gatorade and OPI.

The other tennis players in the Top 10 were third place Li Na with $18.2 million, fourth place Victoria Azarenka with $15.7 million, seventh place Caroline Wozniacki with $13.6 million, eighth place Agnieszka Radwanska with $7.4 million and ninth place Ana Ivanovic with $7 million.
