NEW YORK, NY, USA - Since the Grand Slams went from 16 to 32 seeds starting with Wimbledon in 2001, an unseeded player has reached a semifinal 13 times. The latest of those is Flavia Pennetta, who secured a US Open semifinal berth on Wednesday. Here is the complete list:
