NEW YORK, NY, USA - Last Friday, September 6, 2013 more than 450 tennis enthusiasts and industry leaders gathered at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City for The Legends Ball presented by BNP Paribas, an annual social event hosted by the International Tennis Hall Of Fame & Museum that celebrates tennis and honors some of the sport's greatest champions and contributors. This year's event honored the Class Of 2013 - Martina Hingis, Thelma Coyne Long, Cliff Drysdale, Charlie Pasarell and Ion Tiriac. This year's event also presented the Eugene L. Scott Award to Rod Laver and the Joseph F. Cullman Award to ESPN, both honored for their remarkable commitments to tennis.

A highlight of the evening was a gathering of 19 of the Hall Of Fame's tennis legends on stage, including WTA legends Pam Shriver, Monica Seles, Tracy Austin, Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert.

Hosted since 1980, The Legends Ball is as an important fundraiser for the International Tennis Hall Of Fame, a non-profit organization that preserves the history of tennis and inspires its future. In its first year under the sponsorship of BNP Paribas, the 2013 event was a great success, raising more than $330,000 in net proceeds to support the Hall Of Fame. There was a silent auction that featured exclusive experiences at the Grand Slams, signed memorabilia and more - also, guests contributed to a fund to underwrite free admission to the Hall Of Fame's museum for all children 16 and under.

WTA Chairman & CEO Stacey Allaster served as Honorary Co-Chair of the event, and Lara Spencer of Good Morning America fame served as Emcee. Check out video highlights of the event right here!
